Blog post 3

      This past week we learned about protecting yourself from ID theft, How information is stored on hard drives, and basic information about the different parts of a computer. The lecture that I found to must relevant to concept of an event calendar, for sports organizations, would be the one about the components of the computer. I remember specifically from the lecture that Professor Rubin was talking about how different jobs and tasks require a computer to have different capabilities to best utilize the computer. I though that this could directly apply to my idea.
       For the creation and maintenance of this calendar I think that you would need a computer with a really good CPU, and ALU, to carry out the creation of this calendar. Another aspect of the computer that i think would be related to my idea would be the RAM of the computer. I believe to make this idea happen you would need a computer with great RAM because this calendar would need you to have many different application open and a lot of pages on the internet to gather the information. Specifically I believe that one computer could be used for the design of the calendar with 2 to 8 GB of RAM.
      The comment from the GA suggested for my idea of the event calendar that the creation of an aggregation site could be useful for all the different schedules for all the organizations. I believe that this is a great idea and that it would also affect the amount of computing power I would need to create, collect and synchronize the information from different sources on the internet, and would be a great thing to think about for my idea.

Blog post 2

     It might be a little hard to relate my idea of a event calendar for sports organizations, but here is what I came up with. In last weeks lectures we talked about how to improve privacy on social media and learned about how to use Excel and other spreadsheet programs. I believe that both lecture can relate to my idea is small but interesting ways.

    How my sports organization event calendar idea could use what we learned about social media is that this organization would be smart to use social media to promote their event calendar and those events, coincidentally one of the do's on the do's and don'ts list from lecture. When these organizations use the social media it would be smart for them to make sure they understood the privacy organizational pages and how they would like to use the social media as to now represent the event calendar, or the whole organization in a negative way.

    The best way in which I believe that my idea could relate to spreadsheets is for organizing the events for the calendar in a spreadsheet. One way in which you could do this is my making a spreadsheet to organize the events in a calendar format my using different cells for different days of the month, month and days of the week. Another way in which you can use spreadsheets for my idea of an event calendar for sports organisations is that you could categorize the events based on what type of event it is as to better organize and  keep the information, in case of questions or future need.   

Blog post 1

    My entrepreneurial idea is on the topic of sports and sports organizations.  My idea is to create a universal events calendar for sports team and its events. Most Sports teams and leagues have a game schedule but it doesn't seem like any of them have a calendar for all the events the hold or support that are not actual games.
     I know one of my favorite teams the buffalo sabres hold a lot of events but its really hard to hear about them. I think it would be nice if every team, in the big four sports leagues, had such a calendar like this that they would have a more aware fan base and more turnout for events. Not only should these teams make a calender in a list form, my idea is for these event to be in a monthly calender format.
      How my idea relates to this past weeks lectures is that one way in which organization can use social media is to promote jobs. My idea can relate to that because it can serve the same function by letting the public know about organizational job fairs. Another way in which you can relate my idea to the lecture about social media is that you could post this/these calendar(s) or a link to the calendar on a social media site which does two this for you, it utilizes social media to broaden who it reaches and it promotes the organization's brand.,
