This weeks lecture about bits and bytes may not be directly connected to my idea of a sports organization event calendar, but this topic i believe is very important to understand when it comes to my idea. To create this calendar i will need to collect a lot information about the event.
When I'm gathering this information, I believe that looking at the file size of the information that I am collecting will be very important in two ways. First would be in the way of money in which gathering large files of information may serve costly to financing my idea. Second would be the way of efficiency, i would like to be using the resources as efficiently as possible as to create an environment for my idea to succeed.
Through the comment I received on my idea and through the meeting I had today to discuss my idea, it was brought to my attention that a great idea for my idea would be to invest in information gathering software that would gather all the information for the event of the internet and store it all in one place, and I agree that this would be great for my idea. Not only does it save the time of looking up the information but would also save me money in the long term by being a one time purchase instead of constant costs of searching for information. Also after this program has gathered all the information in one place, I would be able to use that time to organize the event information in ways of my choosing.
